We have worked hard to make Michaelmas House Stables an ideal country hideaway for two. It’s been our hobby and our passion to renovate the old Stables to the highest standards, creating a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary styles, both inside and out. We’re professional people, and we’ve designed the project in a way in a way that would satisfy our own requirements as guests—and escapees.  We think we have succeeded in crafting a warm, light, friendly space that speaks of relaxation and tranquillity.

Thus, we offer a chance to get away from urban pressures in a peaceful location, and add in some homely personal touches including a welcoming chilled bottle of wine, a hamper with homemade bread and jam, and a comforting wood-burner for those cooler evenings. With excellent walking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity, and coastal, rural, historic, and urban attractions all within easy driving distance, there is plenty to do all year round. We have good local knowledge which we are happy to share.
