Halsons was built in the early 1800s and is built mainly of flint. The B&B is tucked away down a small lane ,easily accessible from the main A35 , surrounded by stunning countryside ideal for walkers. Golden Cap , the highest point in the south coast of Britain , is a walk away and due to the elevated position of the house, can be seen from some rooms in the house. We are in an area of outstanding natural beauty and are close to the World Heritage Jurassic coastline.
We are a small B&B with a very personal touch. The house has been totally renovated and although we have installed brand new bathrooms we have tried to keep original features such as original pine doors and pine floors where it was possible. We have a bright airy dining room and a patio where guests can choose to eat breakfast or relax with a drink later in the day. We have a shared lounge with comfortable sofas where guests can choose to sit and relax. There is a wood burning stove that will be used on cooler days at the beginning and end of the season.
