The Abbey Church of St Mary the Virgin in Sherborne to give it its full name.

Originally a Benedictine abbey, the church was saved from Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries by becoming the town's parish church.

Most of the abbey's appearance is 15th century, although there are features dating back to Norman times
