Bookham Court lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with panoramic views over the Blackmore Vale, in the heart of Dorset. These four holiday homes, set on an arable and beef farm, are of a high standard and offer a lovely retreat to get away from it all and unwind in the peaceful Dorset countryside. They are within easy driving distance of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and many other attractions, in this beautiful part of the country. Great Coombe, Little Coombe and Wagon House all have use of a games room with table tennis and snooker table and, in an adjacent field, there is a fishing lake for use of guests. Bookham Court is also an ideal location for watching wildlife from the hide, where you can see badgers feeding and birds nesting via some interactive cameras. Crowthorne is located ½-mile down the lane, but guests are welcome to use the facilities at Bookham Court. All four properties can be booked independently or together, and all allow dogs as it is idyllic dog walking country. Within easy driving distance, visitors can be enjoying Cerne Abbas with its giant carved into the hillside, Athelhampton House, Milton Abbey, Corfe Castle, and Sherborne Castle and Abbey. Weymouth has miles of sandy beach, Sealife Park and many other attractions for all the family. The whole of the picturesque Jurassic Coast from Swanage, all the way to Lyme Regis beckons and offers many delightful places of interest. Lulworth Cove, Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay for seaside activities, boating, swimming, fishing and windsailing, and Abbotsbury with its swannery and subtropical gardens. For some great family days out, perhaps the Tank Museum at Bovington, Monkey World at Wool or maybe inland to some fun time at the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum. Dorchester is just 11 miles, Poole and Bournmouth can be reached in less than an hour. Beach 16 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
