Westwood House

Westwood House

Westwood House is an attractive Georgian property built in 1815 for Lord Ilchester's coachman. It was converted into a guest house over 20 years ago and in 2007 bought by and personally run by resident owners Tom and Melz Stevens. Each room is individually styled and set over 5 floors (please let us know if you need a 1st floor room) 2 rooms per floor, except the family room which takes up our whole top floor. All rooms have modern amenities and a few extras you may have forgotten.

Situated in Dorchester centre, Westwood House is a 20-minute drive from the scenic coast at Weymouth. Set in an historical 4-story building, the guest house offers free Wi-Fi and cooked breakfasts. The individual rooms at Westwood are elegantly furnished, and each has a private bathroom with free toiletries. Rooms also feature tea/coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. Generous, award-winning full English breakfasts are served daily in the bright conservatory dining room. Light continental options, vegetarian breakfasts and speciality teas are also available. The Westwood House guest house is located on an elegant Georgian street, just a few minutes’ walk from Dorchester’s shops and restaurants. Dorset’s scenic countryside can be reached in 10 minutes’ drive.
