Situated on the owner’s farm, where you are welcome to explore, there are many wonderful walks to enjoy. As well as cycling, fishing is available on the River Frome (licence required), a nature trail is around the farm, golf can be enjoyed locally and at allocated times during the day, there is use of a tennis court. The accommodation has a spacious living room with inglenook fireplace, woodburner, old bread oven and beams, a dining room with large table and woodburner and a contemporary, well-equipped, bespoke kitchen. There are 2 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedrooms which all have TVs, and 3 of the bedrooms are en-suite, and in the garden sun loungers are available. If you are not enjoying a barbecue or simply relaxing in this lovely cottage, there is a wealth of attractions and places to visit in this glorious part of Dorset. Within easy driving you can be on the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, simply soaking up some stunning scenery from Swanage, Studland Bay, or along the Purbecks (taking in Durdle Door), and to Weymouth with its sandy beach. Portland with Portland Bill, and onwards is the renowned Chesil Beach, West Bay and Lyme Regis, while not too far away you can have some family time at the ever popular Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum or Weymouth Sealife Centre. Or perhaps visit one of the many museums in Dorchester, Tutankhamun Museum, Dorset Teddy Bear Museum and the Terracotta Museum to name a few. There are also many historic houses in the area, maybe visit Athelhampton House and Gardens, or venture further and explore Poole, Bournemouth and inland Sherborne.
