Come face to face with marine life from the furthest reaches of the globe. Fully interactive, with touch screen games, feeding demonstrations and talks, plasma screen documentaries, walk through underwater tunnel and exhibitions.

One of the most popular attractions in the town is the Bournemouth Oceanarium, a fantastic all weather family day out. This award winning Oceanarium is conveniently situated next to Bournemouth Pier on the beach front and just five minutes walk from the town centre.

There is a huge amount of sea life to explore here. Spread across nine different recreated sea environments and including sharks, turtles, octopus and piranhas. There is also an abundance of other species of fish including clownfish and lionfish. One of the latest additions are the Oriental small clawed otter family which are housed in their own bamboo forest complete with flowing streams and rocky pools. There are nine daily feeding sessions.

The Bournemouth Oceanarium also boasts the world's first virtual interactive dive cage and an interactive global meltdown to explore the effects of climate change. A gift shop and café can also be found on-site.
