Wareham Almshouses

Wareham Almshouses

The almshouses on Worget Road were built by the charity of John Streche in 1418 and are now private residences.

They were rebuilt in 1741 and have since been modernised internally.

The bell tower was originally part of the 1768 Town Hall and was moved to the roof of the Almshouses when the present Town Hall was built in 1870
