  • Branksome Chine

    A wide, sandy beach backed by a promenade. All facilities including beach huts, shop, bar and restaurant. Good disabled access and a safe swim zone.

  • Canford Cliffs

    Canford Cliffs Beach

    One of Poole's more tranquil beaches. Wide and sandy, with toilets and an ice cream kiosk. Village shops half a mile away.

  • Boscombe Pier

    Looking down the side of Boscombe pier towards the town. This is where the new Bournemouth artificial surf reef will be situated.

    The pier itself was opened in 1889 but the concrete legs you see here were built between 1958-60.

    It is possible for the tourist to view Bournemouth’s seven miles of golden sands and surrounding countryside from a hot air balloon. However this is a recent innovation and the town has been a tourist resort for many years. The resort is an ideal centre for visiting well-known attractions such as the New Forest, Stonehenge and the Jurassic Coast.

  • Brownsea Island - Castle and Piers

    The island is owned by the National Trust. This includes Branksea Castle which is leased to John Lewis' as a holiday home.
