Beautifully positioned on the coast in Weymouth, Dorset and overlooking Weymouth and Portland Harbours is Nothe Gardens. They are large public gardens that welcome locals and tourists for walks, sunbathing and family days out with lots of winding paths and spacious grassed areas. The South West Coastal path also runs through Nothe Gardens.

Nothe Gardens is also home to Nothe Fort, built in 1872 to protect the coast Portland Harbour from French invasion and today is a museum telling the story of Victorian and World War Two soldiers. Within the gardens is also Newton’s Cove, a stylish area that protects over 30 homes from coastal erosion and a transformed coastal walkway.

The Weymouth and Portland Sailing Events took place in Nothe Gardens for the 2012 Olympics.
