A romantic valley garden surrounding an Elizabethan manor house with church, stable block, coach house, dovecote and courtyard. The Garden and Church are open for visitors from March - October and the House is open in June and August.

Originally founded in 1765 as a kitchen garden, the site now occupies 20 acres and is stocked with a range of exotic plants many of which were newly-discovered species at the time

Housed in a former Georgian workhouse the museum now features collections including local history, costume, geology, natural history and archaeology
