  • Lulworth Castle and Park

  • Stair Hole

    Tucked away, next to much better-known Lulworth Cove, the geological gem that is Stair Hole is often overlooked. This little natural cove is testimony to the power of erosion; carved into the limestone cliffs, it contains any number of striking rock formations including arches, caves, and folded layers of rock known as "Lulworth Crumple." The crumple consists of alternating layers of limestone and shale that have been contorted into a striking zig-zag pattern over the milenia.

  • Blue Pool, Furzebrook

    The magical Blue Pool is unique attraction in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. Set in peaceful woodland between Wareham and Corfe Castle this apparently natural beauty spot began life as a clay pit in the 17th century. It is minute particles of this clay that gives the pool its ever changing colours from greys to greens to blues. There are several walks around the lakes and woodland along with a tearoom and gift shop.

  • Bindon Abbey

    The ruins of Bindon Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery are located close to Wool on the River Frome. It was built in 1149 originally at a different site, near Lulworth Cove, as a daughter house for Forde Abbey but was moved to its current position in 1172 when the terrain couldn't sustain the building.

  • Corfe Castle
